For over 30 years, we have been providing specialised, high-quality care for young males aged 11-18 with developmental trauma, attachment difficulties and who have displayed sexually harmful behaviour. We work to reduce the risk these young people pose, meet their complex needs and help them manage their physical and behavioural difficulties so they can leave their past traumas behind, build healthy relationships and lead responsible and rewarding adult lives.
We have a specialised therapy team dedicated to help our young people to address their past traumas, manage their emotional and psychological difficulties and regulate their behaviour allowing them to enjoy a brighter future.
We are widely recognised for the excellent therapeutic service we offer and have contributed to research and literature in the field. The multidisciplinary team at SWAAY consists of practitioners with a wide variety of qualifications, such as Forensic Psychology, Integrative Child Psychotherapy, Art Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Dyadic Development Psychology.
