Overview Evaluates and treats patients of all ages who suffered cognitive, language disorders, swallowing problems, and oral motor disorders due to trauma, illnesses or surgery. This position creates a treatment plan based on the assessment findings and works with the patient and family members to achieve the highest possible level of independence. Responsibilities PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions) Designs and executes a treatment plan based on assessment findings. Documents assessments and interventions accurately and timely. Educates patients and families. Evaluates patients' cognitive, communication, and swallowing skills. Participates in multi-disciplinary meetings and case reviews. Supervises students as needed.
