About the role and our team

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and supportive Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our team within Children's Therapy Services on the Isle of Man!

You’ll be joining our integrated therapy team consisting of Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. The Speech and Language Therapy team covers the whole island, striving to deliver the best health care to the children that we see.

In this senior role you will focus on assessing, developing and implementing speech and language therapy intervention to children within a specific service area, based on knowledge and experience. Offering opportunity to have a varied caseload and work in clinic or community setting. Experience or ability to work towards competencies in Dysphagia.

In addition to clinical duties you will also be responsible for the supervision of junior Speech and Language Therapists. You will take a leading role in service development, implementing local or national strategies and working collaboratively with the Team Lead.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month. This role also qualifies for a recruitment incentive of £3,000, payable in the 1st, 13th, and 25th months of employment.

Please note if you have lived for more than 6 months outside of the UK in the last 5 years, you will be required to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the appropriate authorities in the relevant locations, please read the guidance about how to obtain this letter.

A full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required for this role. A uniform will also be provided.
