Connolly Hospital in Dublin, Ireland is currently seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist including Practice Tutor in Acute Stroke Care to join our team on a permanent basis.

The Speech and Language Therapy department provides a service to all patients presenting with communication and feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing (FEDS) difficulties in the acute setting. A videofluoroscopy service is also provided.
The aim of the Acute Stroke SLT post is to provide evidence based, high quality speech and language therapy service to patients within the medicine for the elderly service and neuro-rehabilitation service. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a high quality Speech and Language therapy service in accordance with standards of professional practice. As a Practice Tutor the therapist will develop the capacity and quality of the practice education programme while supporting students and practice educators.
They will carry out the clinical and educational duties as required of a Senior Speech and Language Therapist. The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will develop and maintain high standards of clinical practice within their assigned area through clinical evaluation, audit opportunities and evidence based practice.
