Job Description

“The school has an extensive therapeutic team. This includes occupational therapists and speech and language therapists. The integrated therapeutic curricula offer includes the therapy team working closely with class teachers, pupils and their families. They also invest in their relationships with the pupils, being part of play and lunch times. Training is provided by these specialist colleagues to individual staff, classes and through whole school training.“

Position: Speech & Language Therapist

Contract: Permanent / Full time

Salary: £28,407 - £34,581 Per annum based on a 35 hours per week

Peterhouse School is a non-maintained specialist school for autistic children aged 5-19. Our students have bright futures ahead - if given the support and voice they need. Successful candidates will have:

  • Speech & Language Therapy Degree qualification and HCPC registration

More about the role

As a Speech and Language Therapist you will work within our dedicated school based Therapy Team, with the aim to achieve the very best for our learners and their individual development. The successful candidate will be supported by a Senior Speech and Language Therapist, and will also work alongside our Education team members to both work with pupils directly, and develop the skills of staff to implement plans you have created. Our successful candidate will work within a truly collaborative team, with the overall aim to promote communication as central to the culture of the school. This role may suit someone experienced in working with young people on the autism spectrum, or a newly qualitied Speech and Language Therapist.
