Job Description

West Kirby Educational Trust is seeking to appoint talented Speech and Language Therapists, newly qualified practitioners are welcome to apply!

 

Hours:         37 hours per week

Contract:    Permanent. Term time only (44.6 weeks)

Salary:        £31,287.79 - £36,155.88 (Depending on experience). Pay spread across 12 months

 

About the Trust:

West Kirby Educational Trust is a charity, which has run a school for over 150 years.

We are excited to be opening a new school for primary aged children in Lydiate, Sefton. As with our current school in West Kirby, Acre View Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive school dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for pupils.

We pride ourselves on understanding and meeting children’s needs, so they are able to reach their full potential.

We are seeking two Speech and Language Therapists who will be employed by the Charity and will work in both schools. Successful candidates will work with children and young people with SEND, in an experienced and considerate team. The team will offer you sound training opportunities and the ability to develop your skills.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will provide holistic, specialist provision in a neuro-affirming, pupil centred way.

You will be:

·         Passionate about supporting pupils to access both social and academic potential.

·         Confident in working with others, with the skills to build relationships.

·         Able to (and be supported to) conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs of students using a strength-based approach

·         Person centred.

·         Able to develop and implement individualised therapy plans to address identified needs using best practices and neuro-affirming approaches.

·         Able to collaborate with teachers, parents/carers, and other professionals to support pupil communication skills

·         Provide training and support to school staff on strategies to promote language and communication development.

·         Supported in making clinical decisions in MDT for pupils to have the best outcomes.

·         Able to monitor and evaluate pupil progress, adjusting therapy as needed.

·         Supported and supervised by a highly effective therapy team
