If you are a caring, energetic, enthusiastic individual, Iris Care Group has an exciting new opportunity for (a) Band 5 Speech And Language Therapist to join one of our well-established teams at Newport. The role includes providing appropriate sessions to older adults who may have complex dementias or other presenting neurological conditions.

Role Responsibilities

To work within the context of all ICG policies and procedures.
It is the duty of every employee to take reasonable care of the health and safety of him/ her and of other persons who may be affected by his/ her acts or omissions. To report to the Health and Safety Manager either serious risks or your concerns over safety issues.
To maintain standard of dress that is appropriate for the role and in accordance with ICG policies.

To be aware of and sensitive to the impact of class, gender, race and prejudice on attitudes, professional relationships and professional judgement and be willing to intervene.

To attend regular staff appraisal and development meetings with line manager and be involved in peer review as appropriate.
This job description is subject to periodic review and it is expected the post holder will contribute to the active development of the role as the needs of ICG.

Role Requirements

Working with adult mental health/ neurological conditions Using IT packages. Ability to use standardised assessments

Degree/ Diploma in Speech & Language Therapy. Registered member of The Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
