Job Title: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, Band 7 (Paediatrics)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated team. The successful candidate will provide specialist speech and language therapy and clinical leadership to children, young people, and families accessing the services of this charity.

Role Requirements:
The role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy assessments and interventions to children and young people with neurodisabilities and neurodevelopmental concerns within a multidisciplinary and multi-agency setting. The service delivery focuses on outcome-driven interventions, safe care, and promoting the function and participation of children and young people in home, school, and community life.

The successful Specialist Speech and Language Therapist will support children and young people with communication needs, speech and language difficulties, eating and drinking challenges, and tracheostomy care at a highly specialist level. With experience working in a complex environment across a large and diverse workforce, the candidate should be exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. They will have the ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organization.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • HCPC-approved degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Valid HCPC registration
  • Postgraduate experience working with paediatric patients
