Speech & Language Therapist - Lancashire
Salary: 43,585 - 49,119 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role
As a Speech & Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessment and interventions, helping individuals regain essential skills and achieve personal goals. Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will use your expertise to develop, implement, and evaluate tailored rehabilitation programmes. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment with excellent training and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice:
o Provide evidence-based, person-centred care to individuals with complex needs, including communication difficulties and dysphagia.
o Manage a caseload autonomously with supervision as needed for complex cases.
o Develop and implement care plans, rehabilitation goals, and training programmes for communication partners.
o Assess and manage risks effectively, maintaining professional accountability.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
o Work closely with therapy, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive care.
o Supervise and mentor junior team members, volunteers, assistants, and students.
Professional Development:
o Stay abreast of best practices and current research in neurorehabilitation and speech and language therapy.
o Apply innovative models of practice to ensure optimal outcomes for individuals.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
Essential:
Degree in Speech & Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
Experience managing dysphagia cases.
Knowledge of neurorehabilitation models, clinical reasoning, and outcome measures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational and IT skills.
Desirable:
Previous experience in neurorehabilitation or a relevant healthcare setting.
