The role:
We are looking for exceptional people to work with our exceptional learners. The appointed candidates will work as a Speech and Language Therapist, providing therapy services as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary therapy team. This is a challenging but incredibly rewarding position, with excellent professional development opportunities, together with professional autonomy.
Your role will include delivering hands-on Speech and Language Therapy, thereby ensuring the provision of a high standard of assessment, treatment and advice to pupils and their families accessing the school. Working as a key member of our therapy team, you will independently manage a caseload of children with complex developmental speech and language disorders, learning difficulties and sensory impairments as well working in the classroom to deliver therapy and education. Our therapists benefit from professional leadership, peer support and the many other opportunities for professional development and training the school has to offer.
Essential Requirements
• A degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a qualified SaLT
• HCPC and RCSLT membership
• Experience of assessing and implementing appropriate management plans for speech and
language therapy
• Experience working with children and young people with ASC, dyslexia and other specific
learning difficulties.
Abingdon House - Marylebone/South Kensington provides a mainstream style education with a specialist approach for young people aged 11-19, with specific learning difficulties including ASD, dyslexia and dyscalculia.
