Job title: Senior Project Manager (Clinical & Professional Guidance)
Salary: £48,488 (London-based salary) or £43,990 (non-London based salary) + Excellent Benefits. 
Hours: 5 days per week, 35 hours 
Location: Office-based / hybrid conditions
Contract type: FTC (Parental Leave Cover), 12 months
Intended start date: June 2025

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is the professional body for speech and language therapists in the United Kingdom (UK). We support and represent over 22,000 members while operating nationally across our office and members hubs in London, Belfast, Edinburgh and Cardiff. Our mission is to improve the lives of people with communication and swallowing needs by facilitating and promoting research, producing guidance, holding events, and influencing government. We aim to promote better education and training for speech and language therapists and provide information to our members and the public about speech and language therapy.
 
THE ROLE
 
This role sits within the Professional Development team which provides a range of services, including developing professional guidance, creating professional development resources, encouraging research & supporting development of the evidence base relating to speech & language therapy and responding to enquiries of a professional nature.
 
The Senior Project Manager, alongside other team members, is responsible for the development, delivery and maintenance of RCSLT’s online professional guidance and resources. The post holder will also facilitate RCSLT involvement in the development of guidance and resources produced by external stakeholders.
 
Working in collaboration with colleagues, members and external stakeholder organisations, the Senior Project Manager will be involved in developing work plans and strategy relating to specific focus areas. The role will also line manage relevant professional development staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be able to effectively line manage and can manage multiple on-going tasks. The successful candidate will have expert project management knowledge and experience and, experience of working within a relevant industry (e.g. research, healthcare, education, professional development, quality standards or regulation). The ideal candidate will understand the aims and values of the RCSLT and be able to embed this within their work. ABOUT US

The RCSLT team consists of over 70 staff who offer support to over 22,000 members. Colleagues are predominantly based in the London office and others in Belfast, Edinburgh, and Cardiff offices.
