Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team as a Neurodevelopmental Diagnostician. This is a full-time role based at our premises in Chester.

Main duties will include:

  • Conducting face to face neurodevelopmental assessments with possible outcomes of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Developmental Coordination Disorder / Dyspraxia, including submission of a detailed assessment report
  • Adding value to the assessment process, joining other clinicians where necessary to provide multidisciplinary team observations
  • Engaging in regular personal supervision sessions
  • Attendance at our Post-Diagnostic Support Group on a rotational basis – you will be expected to present to the group at least once per year
  • Conducting your work in line with our Safeguarding Adults and Safeguarding Children policies
  • There is scope to conduct specialist work related to your background, for example, speech and language assessments

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Hold a clinical qualification and registration with statutory body
  • Be HCPC registered as a qualified Speech and Language Therapist
  • Be able to commute to Chester Monday-Friday

  • A full understanding of the Partnership Model and how to apply this to your work
  • The ability to recognise your own limitations and respond to difficult situations
  • The ability to collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines
  • Time management and prioritisation skills

Additional information

Working pattern: 37.5 hours, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
Holidays: 33 days (including bank holidays)
Salary: £38,000-£45,000 based on qualifications and experience
