Our Community Stroke Rehab Team provides specialist rehabilitation for Enfield residents recovering from stroke. You'll work closely with a fantastic multidisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, neuropsychologist and rehabilitation assistants.

Located near Enfield Town, our service is easily accessible via commuter links from
Central London and Hertfordshire, with proximity to the M25.

Please note: A valid driver's licence is essential for this role as you'll be working in
patients' homes and local communities.

Your Role:

As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties following a stroke
• Use advanced clinical reasoning and assessment techniques to deliver accurate diagnoses and create personalised treatment plans
• Identify and refer patients for objective swallowing assessments such as video fluoroscopy
• Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy programmes to support successful patient recovery
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery

• Educate and support patients, carers, and families throughout the rehabilitation journey

What We're Looking For

Essential:
• RCSLT-recognised Diploma/Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• Postgraduate dysphagia qualification
• Experience of working in NHS settings with acquired neurological conditions
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage complex situations
• Confident in delivering education and training to patients, carers and colleagues
