Specialist Speech & Language Therapist
Location: York
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: 38,682 - 46,580 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Permanent

An established specialist neurological rehabilitation provider in York is looking to appoint a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a specialist neurorehabilitation setting, supporting adults with acquired brain injury and complex communication needs.

The role:

Deliver specialist speech and language therapy to adults with acquired brain injury

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team within a neurobehavioural rehabilitation model

Complete assessments, develop treatment plans, and review progress

Provide communication strategies, therapy programmes, and training to staff and carers

Contribute to reports, care plans, and discharge planning

Identify potential dysphagia and refer appropriately

Requirements:

Degree in Speech & Language Therapy

HCPC registration

Experience or strong interest in neurorehabilitation / complex needs

Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision

Strong communication skills and experience working within MDTs

Newly qualified therapists considered, with willingness to complete NQPs
