About the role

As Lead Speech and Language Therapist, you will:

  • Lead and develop the Speech & Language Therapy service across the school
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to therapists and support staff
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention
  • Work closely with teachers, families, and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to strategic planning and service development
  • Ensure best practice, compliance, and excellent outcomes for pupils

This is a hands-on leadership role—you’ll combine strategic oversight with meaningful clinical work.

About you

You’ll be:

  • HCPC and RCSLT registered
  • An experienced Speech & Language Therapist (ideally with leadership or senior experience)
  • Confident leading, mentoring, and supporting others
  • Passionate about working with children and young people with complex needs
  • Collaborative, organised, and committed to high-quality care and education
  • Experience in specialist education, SEND, or complex needs is highly desirable.
