Speech and Language Therapist x 2

Band 5/6 (Salary dependent on experience)

Full Time, Term time plus 4 weeks per annum

Available: May 2022

Eagle House Group is an independent co-educational day provision for children and young people between the ages of 4 and 19, who are autistic and have related conditions including social, emotional and mental health needs. We are currently recruiting two Band 5/6 Speech and Language Therapists to join our in-house Curriculum Access Team (CA Team) in Eagle House School (Sutton). This opportunity is open to newly qualified SaLTs!

Our multi-disciplinary team of professionals includes speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, behaviour support specialists and assistant psychologists.  If you are looking for an exciting challenge in your career, we would love you to join us!

Main responsibilities will involve:

  • Assessment and intervention planning
  • Group and individual therapy as required
  • Working within classes and providing consultative support as part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Development and implementation of training for staff and other professionals
  • Curriculum development
  • Report writing and record keeping.

We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist who:

  • Is highly motivated, passionate, dynamic and flexible
  • Has highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is RCSLT and HCPC registered / in the process of registration
  • Holds a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Has relevant experience of working with young people with special needs, including autism and social, emotional and mental health needs (desirable).

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.15 am – 4.15 pm with a 30 minute lunch break each day, term time plus 4 weeks.
