We are seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to undertake a specialist assessment to support a SEND Tribunal case for a Local Authority in the North of England.
This is a one-off, high-quality piece of work requiring a confident clinician with strong assessment and report-writing skills.
The Role
You will:
- Undertake a face-to-face assessment of a child/young person within an educational setting
- Complete a comprehensive evaluation of:
- Receptive and expressive communication
- Social communication
- Speech / phonology
- Attention and listening
- Engage with key stakeholders (family and education staff)
Reporting Requirements
You will produce a Tribunal-ready report, including:
- Summary of needs
- Assessment findings
- Functional impact within education
- Clear, quantified recommendations (frequency, duration, delivery)
Requirements
- HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist
- Experience working with children and young people with SEND
- Strong report writing skills
- Ability to deliver within tight timescales
