About the RoleWe are currently supporting a specialist school in Essex with the recruitment of an Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive school environment, providing therapy to children and young people with a range of additional needs.
CaseloadYou will be working with pupils with:
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
- Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
- A range of additional SEND needs
The role involves supporting students to develop independence, emotional regulation, and functional life skills within an educational setting.
Responsibilities- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
- Support pupils with sensory, motor and emotional regulation needs
- Contribute to EHCP targets and reviews
- Provide advice and training to staff and families where appropriate
Requirements- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with paediatric caseloads
- Experience within SEN / SEMH settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
