Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage a complex dysphagia caseload using advanced assessment tools and therapy approaches.
  • Liaise effectively with a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Provide specialist advice and training to other professionals involved in patient care, enhancing their understanding of dysphagia.
  • Conduct and interpret thorough swallowing assessments including FEES and VFSS at competent levels.
  • Collaborate on the care of tracheostomy patients within a cardiothoracic setting, ensuring comprehensive management plans.
  • Maintain high standards of record keeping in compliance with current professional standards and electronic patient record systems.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, employ research and audit frameworks, and implement national policies within the service.
Qualifications

To qualify for this exciting role, you must be registered with the HCPC and ideally be a car driver for ease of access to various settings, enhancing both your independence and flexibility.
