Join our innovative and enthusiastic team to inspire the speech and language therapists of the future. We have exciting developments underway as part of our new undergraduate course, and we need speech and language therapists with a passion for student education and the profession to join us in delivering them. We are seeking to employ a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to help us achieve our ambitious plans.
The Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise has an excellent portfolio of education and research. You will teach within a department delivering speech and language therapy and other health-related programmes.
We are looking to appoint speech and language therapists with a broad range of practice experience able to teach in many areas across the curriculum. You will have experience of working with students and will be able to inspire students to excel through positive role modelling and innovative teaching. This appointment will involve practical and theoretical teaching on the speech and language therapy degree. You will be expected to support further developments within the department, both in a profession-specific and multi-disciplinary context, including expansions into the international market. You will be committed to partnership working and an enthusiasm for practice research is particularly welcome.
Registration with the HCPC as a speech and language therapist prior to commencing and evidence of master’s level study are essential. Membership of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or capacity to obtain membership within 12 months of appointment is a requirement of the post.
You will be prepared to register and study towards a doctorate if you do not already hold one.
People with expertise in adults and / or eating, drinking, and swallowing are particularly encouraged to apply.
