We are seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to be a part of our small and supportive team, who will be able to bring knowledge and experience to our service on the Isle of Man!
About the role and our team
Acting as an advanced clinical specialist speech and language therapist for patients with dysphagia and communication problems, you will be a pivotal member of the Adult Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) team, and will be supported by the committed therapies manager to continue to provide excellent care across acute wards, outpatients and the community.
The Isle of Man is a small and friendly community which is reflected in the work environment within Manx Care. The health care team is small enough to allow for meaningful connections with colleagues across the service, which supports truly patient-centred achievements in your clinical practice.
What can this role offer me?
By joining us you’ll be stepping away from NHS pressures and demands, as the Island’s healthcare system is similar but separate to the UK NHS.
In this role you have the opportunity to establish relationships within a small, accessible heath care system and develop first class patient-centred care. You will also be encouraged to develop a specialist interest that will benefit our service users.
Free on-site parking is available to you at Noble’s Hospital and we also offer competitive annual leave and a rewarding pension scheme.
Manx Care is committed to creating smoke-free spaces and is ‘proud to be smoke free’ as part of the overall Isle of Man Smoke Free 2030 ambition. As of April 1st 2021 smoking is no longer permitted on our Manx Care & DHSC sites, including nursing, residential and EMI units around the Island. For support and advice on abstinence from smoking, please contact Quit4You on 642404 or Quit4You@gov.im
