Speech & Language Therapist ENT/H&N and Voice Disorders
Band 6 - Permanent, Full time - 37.5 hours per week.
Job Overview
Speech and Language Therapist specialising in Head and Neck cancer patients, providing inpatient and outpatient care for communication and swallowing difficulties, including complex dysphagia, voice and laryngeal movement disorders. The role is based at Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath.
Main Duties
- Provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) services to patients referred by ENT/OMFS or SLT teams.
- Deliver inpatient and outpatient therapy for Head and Neck cancer patients across the full care pathway.
- Collaborate with the wider SLT team, medical, nursing and allied health professionals, and external specialists.
- Participate in specialist clinics including videofluoroscopy, FEES and combined voice clinics.
- Provide training and support to junior SLT staff and other health professionals.
- Maintain clinical records, audit, and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Person Specification & Qualifications
- Registered with the HCPC and a member of RCSLT.
- Dysphagia training level 4.
- Degree or recognised equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Member of relevant CEN professional groups.
