The Children's Integrated Therapy Service in Blackburn with Darwen is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) to join our experienced and friendly team. Experience working in paediatrics is desirable but not essential.
We work with children and young people aged 0 19 years with communication needs and eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties. The Service offers clinical and management supervision, specialist support from senior staff, continuing professional development and specialist SLT forums.
The team comprises speech and language therapists and speech and language therapy assistants. We work closely with colleagues in health, education and social care to provide a genuinely child centred service across various locations, including clinics, children's own homes, nurseries and schools.
Main dutiesThe successful candidate will effectively manage their own time, demonstrate excellent communication skills and have an interest in working with children and their families. A therapist with experience in eating, drinking and swallowing is desirable.

Legal and statutoryKnowledge of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 is required and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
