Salary: up to £53,200 DOE FTE
Contract: Permanent - (52 weeks or flexibility around term time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances)
Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the education team to deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs.
- Operate within the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, guiding your practice within an education setting and clarifying roles and responsibilities while meeting governing and professional requirements.
- Hold a Speech and Language Therapy caseload with support from a designated clinical supervisor and Lead Clinician.
- Contribute to staff training, consultation, and the broader clinical team's safeguarding and person centred approach.
Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registered and registered with the RCSLT
- Relevant experience engaging and working with individuals presenting with complex and diverse communication profiles
- Knowledge of neurodiversity, trauma informed practice, and multi disciplinary working in a range of settings
- Strong relationship building, analytical and judgemental skills
- Excellent oral and written communication, time management and organisational skills
- Competence in core areas of SaLT practice and clear understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards
- Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies, plus ability to formulate support plans based on needs profiles
- Understanding of relevant legislation and its implications for clinical practice and professional management
- Willingness to attend training and work towards further qualifications relevant to the client group
- Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
