Band 6 Locum Speech and Language Therapist

South London Up to £30 per Hour Minimum 3 Days per Week

We are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Locum Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist setting in South London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an SLT with experience supporting individuals with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) who is looking for a rewarding role within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

The successful candidate will work with children and young people with complex communication needs, delivering assessment, intervention, and support within a specialist PMLD setting.

You will work closely with teaching staff, therapists, families, and other professionals to help maximise communication, participation, and quality of life for the individuals you support.

• Manage a specialist caseload within a PMLD setting
• Assess and support a range of complex communication needs
• Develop and implement individualised communication strategies and interventions
• Work collaboratively with education and healthcare professionals
• Provide advice, training, and support to staff and families
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports

• Degree or Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
• Current HCPC registration
• Experience working with individuals with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a specialist caseload

• Start Date: Available immediately or by agreement
