Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Speech and Language Therapist to work in our Speech and Language Therapy services across Bolton.
Responsibilities
- Work with children and young people with speech, language, and communication difficulties across the borough.
- Independently assess children using a range of informal and formal assessments.
- Provide verbal and written advice, develop therapy programmes, and deliver written advice supporting Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and annual reviews.
- Train parents, staff and practitioners in therapy strategies in diverse settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, education staff, and external agencies.
- Work with bilingual clients where appropriate and support specialist practitioners.
Qualifications
- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification.
- HCPC licence to practice and registered member of RCSLT (newly qualified or experienced Band 5).
- Strong communication and organisational skills and proven ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic interventions for paediatric caseloads.
