Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Job responsibilities

You will be leading the Early Years Pathway in Redbridge, working with children aged 0 4 years who present with speech, language and communication difficulties. You will provide specialist assessment and intervention, supervise and support junior colleagues, and develop the service alongside a band 7 therapist.

  • Lead the Speech and Language Therapy Early Years Pathway in Redbridge.
  • Deliver highly specialist assessment and intervention for preschool children with speech, language and communication needs.
  • Provide specialist supervision and support for junior colleagues.
  • Contribute to the effective delivery and development of the service.
  • Actively develop and nurture close, co productive relationships with families and partner professionals across health, education and Early Years Support Services.
Qualifications
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent and HCPC registration.
Experience
  • Experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist with pre school children with speech, language and communication difficulties, including those with autism.
Benefits

High Cost Area Supplement (15% of basic salary with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt unless they are already part of a probationary period or a bank member of staff.
