The role is currently held by job share, although one job share partner is stepping down, the other is on maternity leave, therefore one half of the role is subject to 6–12-month maternity cover contract.

About the Role
Working alongside a qualified Teacher Phase Lead, you will jointly lead our Post-16 provision and multidisciplinary staff team.
As the Therapy Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring students receive outstanding therapeutic and educational support, while helping shape a curriculum that prepares young people for adulthood, employment, further education and independent living.
You will:
● Lead and manage the Post-16 therapy provision.
● Coordinate therapeutic assessment, planning and intervention.
● Support and develop a multidisciplinary team of therapists, teachers and support staff.
● Oversee student progress, EHCP outcomes and annual reviews.
● Contribute to curriculum development and strategic planning.
● Build strong relationships with families, colleges and external professionals.
● Promote a nurturing, ambitious and inclusive learning environment.

About You:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist who can inspire colleagues and champion excellent outcomes for young people with additional needs.
You will have:
Essential
● Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
● HCPC registration.
● Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
● Experience working with children and young people with SEN, particularly SLCN.
● Experience working with KS4 and/or Post-16 learners.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
● A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
Desirable
● Experience leading a specialist or multidisciplinary team.
● Management or leadership training.
● Experience supporting EHCP processes and annual reviews.
● Experience within specialist educational settings.
