What you will do
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention for children with SEMH needs
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students effectively
- Develop and implement individualised support plans based on the latest evidence and practice
- Engage with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure holistic care
- Mentor and support junior staff and students as required
- Stay updated on the latest research and strategies in speech and language therapy
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expert level knowledge and skills with children with complex communication profiles
- Participate in professional development training related to neurodiversity and trauma informed practice
- Communicate effectively with families and carers to ensure clarity and transparency
- Utilise comprehensive assessment tools to inform practice and interventions
- Understand relevant legislation and manage it professionally
Requirements
- HCPC registration is essential
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle for travel
