Overview
We are seeking a qualified Speech & Language Therapist (SALT) to join our education support teams across Preston and Blackpool for the start of the new academic year in September 2026. In this role, you will work closely with local schools and academy trusts to deliver vital intervention and support to children with diverse speech, language, and communication needs.
Responsibilities
- Identifying, assessing, and supporting children's speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
- Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans that help children communicate their ideas and understand others.
- Collaborating with teachers, SENDCOs, and parents to embed communication strategies into the pupil's daily learning environment.
- Using creative, engaging methods to boost students' linguistic confidence, emotional resilience, and social integration.
Qualifications
- A recognised degree or postgraduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage group dynamics and adapt to individual needs.
