Job Summary: We are looking for a Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to work with us at the Leeds site of the Northern and Yorkshire Regional Cleft Lip and Palate Service. This is a 9-month fixed term 0.6 wte Band 7 post to cover a maternity leave vacancy. The post-holder will be based at Leeds General Infirmary and will work in a team of 4.7 wte SLT's who are part of the Northern and Yorkshire Regional Cleft Lip and Palate Service. Established in 2002, the service is commissioned to provide specialist therapy at a local level across the region and to perform our core duties as a designated regional centre. The role will include responsibility for one or more designated localities within our region, undertaking a wide range of clinical assessments and specialist therapy, and providing training and support to community speech and language therapists. The post-holder will also participate in speech videofluoroscopy clinics, multidisciplinary clinics, and clinical discussion meetings. Service delivery includes both virtual and face to face clinics and meetings, so there will be an opportunity to work from home as well as from the hospital and outreach clinics. Applicants must have a full driving licence with access to a vehicle, be willing to travel, hold current HCPC registration, and be able to provide evidence of continuing professional development.
