Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist school in the Farnborough area to recruit a qualified and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist for a September 2026 start. This is a newly created role offering a unique opportunity to establish and develop speech and language provision within a supportive, forward-thinking setting.

The school supports pupils aged 4-16 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and SEMH needs, with a strong focus on communication, independence, and personal development. The Role:
  • Lead the development of a high-quality Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) provision across the school
  • Deliver specialist, outcome-focused interventions for pupils with communication needs
  • Embed speech and language strategies across the curriculum
  • Assess, diagnose, and support pupils with a range of communication difficulties
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP reports
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration (essential)
  • Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
  • At least 2 years' experience working as a SaLT
  • Experience supporting children with ASC and/or SEMH needs
  • Confident delivering staff training and working within multidisciplinary teams
  • Organised, proactive, and committed to pupil wellbeing
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based and child-centred practice
Contract Details:
  • Position: Speech and Language Therapist
  • Location: Farnborough area
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Working Pattern: Part-time, term-time only
  • Pay Rate: £40,643 - £45,077 FTE (pro-rata)
  • Key Stages: Ages 4-16
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
  • HCPC registration required
  • Experience working within a school or SEN setting desirable
  • Safeguarding training can be provided
