Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist neurological rehabilitation service supporting adults with complex long-term neurological conditions.

Working across two specialist inpatient rehabilitation sites, you will play a vital role in helping individuals maximise their communication abilities, improve swallowing function and achieve greater independence throughout their recovery journey.

You will manage a varied caseload of patients with acquired communication and swallowing disorders, delivering evidence based interventions both individually and through therapeutic group sessions.

Working within a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, you will have access to excellent clinical support and professional development opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an SLT with neurorehabilitation experience looking to further develop specialist skills within a well established neurological service.

Salary: £45,996 per annum

Position: Speech and Language Therapist

Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

Setting: Neurological Rehabilitation

Location: Gloucester and Herefordshire

Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Manage a specialist neurological speech and language caseload.
  • Assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Deliver individual and group therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop treatment plans aligned to rehabilitation goals.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support families throughout rehabilitation pathways.
  • Contribute to audits, research and service development.
For this role, we're looking for someone who has:
  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Experience assessing and treating dysphagia.
  • Neurological rehabilitation experience.
  • Experience working with families and carers.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
