Job Title: Locum Speech and Language Therapist
Banding: 6
Location: Barnet, North London
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Contract Rate: £345 Daily Pay Rate
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and follow up assessments for patients with dysphagia in their homes and nursing homes.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
- Provide interventions for adult patients with swallowing difficulties and communication disorders while working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Liaise with family members and carers to support treatment and care plans.
- Deliver follow up assessments remotely when appropriate.
- Keep accurate and up to date patient records.
- Participate in team meetings and supervision sessions.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards of practice.
Qualifications and Experience
- HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist.
- Extensive experience in dysphagia management, particularly within the adult community setting.
- Previous experience in a locum or community based role is desirable.
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to adapt to remote working for follow up assessments when required.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
