Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist to join our team. The role is based in the beautiful area of North of Aberdeenshire. The successful candidate will work from Ellon Health Centre, providing community service to children and young people aged 0 18 years in the surrounding area. Roles include working in clinic or home settings and supporting a range of communication needs, including those with complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver speech and language therapy within the community for children and young people.
  • Provide individualized specialist support and facilitate rapid response to referrals.
  • Collaborate with local multidisciplinary teams and other NHS Grampian Speech and Language professionals.
  • Use digital platforms and technologies to support service delivery and record keeping.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, including participating in team meetings and sharing best practice.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Qualified Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist, HCPC registered.
  • Access to a personal vehicle and ability to travel within the rural area of Aberdeenshire.
  • Experience working with children and families in both clinic and home settings.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with families and multidisciplinary teams.
