Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school and part of Salutem Care and Education who have services across England and Wales supporting adults and children in residential and educational Environments.

Based in its own idyllic grounds, Ingfield Manor School offers extensive specialist facilities with the aim to provide an exceptional learning environment, helping children and young people fulfil their potential. Facilities include woodland and outdoor classroom space, high specification sensory room and swimming pool.

Our IMS provision caters for students aged 3-19 years with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, Ingfield Manor School focuses on the holistic development of everyone, including their physical and communication skills.

Our Woodview provision is for secondary aged students with special educational needs including speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) and autistic spectrum conditions (ASC).

Hours 10 hours per week Term time only

Salary £18.85 - £20.85 per hour dependant on experience.
£8,407.10 - £9,299.10 pro rata, (FTE £39,208 - £43,368)

We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to support pupils with diverse communication needs within a collaborative, specialist school environment.

• Deliver individual and group communication programmes aligned with EHCPs
• Assess and support speech, language, and communication needs
• Implement and develop AAC strategies and resources (low/high tech)
• Support safe eating and drinking practices in line with school policy
• Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school communication strategy
• Work within a multidisciplinary team, liaising with staff, families, and external professionals
• Prepare high-quality reports and attend reviews/meetings
• Provide physical, emotional, and intimate care where required
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive learning environment

• HCPC registered (or eligible) Speech and Language Therapist
• Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills
• Experience with SEND/EHCPs and AAC (desirable)
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional standards

• Role involves some physical activity (supporting pupils, moving equipment)
• Commitment to ongoing training and development
• Subject to enhanced DBS checks
